Artificial intelligence is going to continue to make headlines. As Recruiters, we're going to continue to get better and better at assessing EQ while some of the hard skills or logic based skills start to be taken over by AI based tools. We're also going to get to use AI in recruitment to take on some of the earlier stages of the process and to reduce bias.
In 2019 I see a continued trend toward evidence-based HR management which will start to replace traditional ‘feel-good’ practices. With the help of first-rate HR data analytics, we are starting to calculate the ROI on workforce initiatives ultimately turning talent decisions into smart business decisions.
Happiness! We will continue to see employers investing in employees happiness because as we know the happier the employee the more productive and effective they will be in the workplace. We’re going to continue providing support to our partners to enable them to keep their team members happy through listening to their teams to help assess needs, aspirations and potential impediments.
Employer branding has been used as a secondary tool to promote jobs, but all of that is about to change. With more companies investing time and money into promoting their unique values to scale their business and attract talent, employer branding is pushing to the forefront of recruitment. By executing it correctly, job seekers will begin to recognize why your company is a great place to work and why they should be applying for your roles.
