Beacon Partner Feature - Ari from Major Tom

At Beacon HR we get the opportunity to partner not only with great companies but with great people too. We have been working alongside Major Tom for about four months now to continuously help them find great team members and bolster their company culture. So, what's your name, where do you work, and what is your position there?

My name is Ariana Kolaitis; I work for Major Tom and I am part of the Human Resources & Recruitment team. 

What gets you out of bed in the morning? Why do you enjoy working where you do?

I have a passion for the work I do and enjoy interacting with talented candidates about Major Tom and working with a very supportive and collaborative team.

What value of your company resonates most with you and why?

Lead with a Humble Heart - supporting the team, learning and listening, contributing well and showing appreciation.

Can you briefly tell us a little bit more about what you do at your company?

I do anything and everything HR related! Each day is different and I get to work on a lot of interesting projects from onboarding and recruitment to training and policy reviews.


Why would people want to work for the same company? What drew you in?

We are a dynamic team who are passionate about what we do! I love working in a creative environment where collaboration and initiative are encouraged. Personally, I feel supported and empowered in my role.

How do you achieve work/life balance or work/life integration?

At Major Tom, work/life balance is highly encouraged and we have a great work from home program and flexible working hours.

What are you most grateful for in this moment?

I feel grateful to be living in such a vibrant city (Toronto), working with such a great group of creative people!

What does success mean to you?

Success to me is being happy, passionate about the work I do and having fun at the same time.
