About: The Vancouver Improv Centre Society (The Improv Centre) is one of Vancouver’s leading and best known improv theatre companies. Enjoyed by 60,000 audience members annually, The Improv Center promotes, develops, maintains and presents improvisational theatre productions and presentations to local and visiting audiences in Vancouver.
HOW WE HELPED:
The Improv Center has a longstanding history within the Performing Arts space in Vancouver, and engaged Beacon HR to support them in transformational change for their culture. We were able to start by customizing a Code of Conduct and Policy Handbook for them. We guided the team on how to empower ensemble members to go beyond the document to live in their actions and behaviours at the Center. Beyond the AskHR support, we were able to dedicate additional time to advise leaders on the best course of action with any concerns that surfaced through this project.
